Once Destroyed, Pidie-Meulaboh Line Now Can Be Passed

The national crossing liaison between the Tangse area, Pidie Regency and Meulaboh, West Aceh Regency which had been completely broken down due to being hit by a flash flood could be passed by vehicles. The Disaster Management Agency (BPBA) Acting Chief Teuku Ahmad Dadek said the route was a state road so the damage was directly handled by the State Road Hall. "It's a country road, it's been handled and it can be passed by vehicles," Dadek said Monday (10/12). Dadek explained that the cause of the total road break was not because of being hit by flash floods, but due to the overflowing of the Bale River and had not been repaired perfectly. According to Dadek, in the past two months, the Pidie-Meulaboh crossing route has even been damaged twice. "So yesterday it was damaged for the third time in two months," said Dadek.
